Emmanuel House Münster
A place where faith, community and mission come together. At Emmanuel House everyone is welcome to meet God in a real and personal way.
Emmanuel House Münster: A Place of Welcome, Worship and Mission
At Emmanuel House Münster, the doors are always open. The vision of this community is simple yet powerful: to make God known to every person. No matter who you are, where you come from or what your past looks like: you are welcome here. Why? Because Jesus never rejected someone. It is a place where faith is alive, where people meet Jesus and where no one is a stranger.
A community that feels like home
One of the first things I noticed when I stepped into the Emmanuel House is the hospitality. I walked into Sunday mass and I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly question: “Is this your first time here?” I knew: this is not just a church. It’s a community where people truly belong. I think I would describe it as finding a home, a place where you feel seen and welcomed.
How I became part of this mission
I first got to know Emmanuel House Münster through Teresa. She was already familiar with the community and casually suggested that I could work here when I moved to Germany. At first, I just let the idea be. But over time, I felt a growing desire to take this step. After several conversations with the people at Emmanuel, it became clear: this is where God was calling me to serve.
A mission that changes lives
The impact of Emmanuel House is real. For example, not long ago after a Sunday Mass, we gathered for lunch at the parish house where the community meets. Among us was a man from Syria, a refugee who had fled his country. He didn’t speak the language and he came from a Muslim background, but he had a deep longing to be baptized. The people of Emmanuel welcomed him, supported him and helped him take steps on his journey of faith. This is what Emmanuel House is about: meeting people where they are and walking with them towards Christ.
My role
At Emmanuel House, I have the privilege of helping build this open, welcoming and mission-driven community. My work involves: 1. Evangelization & Events: Organizing Alpha courses, retreats, prayer nights and other activities. 2. Music Ministry: Leading worship during prayer gatherings, adoration and Mass. 3. Hospitality & Community: Helping create a space where people feel at home.
I hope to see this community grow. Not just in numbers, but also in depth of faith. I want to help more people experience what it means to belong, to meet Jesus and to be transformed by His love.
